AI HS nomenclature toolkit: BM25 and semantic retrieval with DSPy programs for classification and reasoning.
What it does
Python library and CLI that classifies a product description to a Harmonized System code: it retrieves candidate chapters and headings from the HS 2022 nomenclature with BM25 and semantic search, then DSPy language-model stages apply chapter notes and the General Rules for Interpretation and return a code with reasons. Needs an OpenAI-compatible API key. MIT; TARIC and HTSUS support is planned.
