PHP library for European VAT: rates, VAT number validation and country checks.
What it does
PHP library for Europe's VAT rules: fetch the VAT rate for any EU member state, validate a VAT number by format and existence (VIES), validate country codes, check EU membership and geolocate an IP address. Needs PHP 8.2 or higher with the cURL and JSON extensions, plus SOAP for existence checks; rates come from the community-maintained ibericode/vat-rates file, cached locally. MIT licence.
