A Go package that validates an EU VAT number by format, by existence through the VIES service, or both, and returns the VAT rate in effect for a country from a community-maintained rates list. Install with go get and import it into Go code. Rate data comes from the ibericode/vat-rates repository, which the README asks users to watch and update when their country announces changes.
