CPS Tax Filing Units
US Congressional Budget Office code that builds tax-filing units from Current Population Survey data.
What it does
Stata code the Congressional Budget Office uses to group people in the Current Population Survey (ASEC) into tax filing units, a step towards matching the survey to IRS Statistics of Income data. It needs Stata (Stata/IC 14.2 on Windows) and the CPS ASEC files. CBO says it has tested it only on the 2023 to 2025 survey years and for its own analyses; public domain in the US.
