Cloudflare Worker that validates EU VAT numbers via the VIES SOAP service and returns JSON.
What it does
Cloudflare Worker that checks a VAT number's format, queries the EU's VIES SOAP service and returns a JSON status for a country code and number; successful lookups are cached for 24 hours. It runs on Cloudflare Workers with a KV namespace and a Durable Object, built with Bun and Wrangler. Each IP address gets 60 requests a minute, and a VIES outage returns a 502 or 504 error.
