PolicyEngine US
Rules engine and microsimulation model of the US tax-benefit system.
What it does
A rules engine of the US federal and state tax and benefit system, with microdata generation, for microsimulation of aggregates and distributional or budgetary impacts. A Python package (pip install policyengine-us, Python 3.11 to 3.14); AGPL-3.0. The README says direct microsimulation through it is deprecated for the managed policyengine.py bundle, and results are estimates.
