PolicyEngine UK Chat

What it does

A chat assistant that answers plain-English questions on UK tax and benefit policy, such as what a personal allowance change costs, by running PolicyEngine UK simulations rather than recalling figures. Runs with Docker (Next.js and FastAPI) and needs an Anthropic API key, Postgres, Supabase credentials and a Hugging Face token for the dataset. The deployed app is marked beta; no licence is shown.
