tenforty
Python package that computes US federal and state income tax and is built on Open Tax Solver.
What it does
Python package that computes US federal income tax and state tax for eleven states from form-level inputs (wages, dividends, gains, self-employment income), returning liabilities, brackets and marginal rates, and sweeps scenarios into a dataframe. Installs with pip on Linux or macOS (Python 3.10–3.14); no Windows. MIT; Medicare and net investment income tax on capital gains are not computed.
Where it fits on the map
Not on the map: for individual taxpayers.
The map places maintained projects for a company tax department or a tax authority, without a demo or paid-service flag. Everything else stays on the list with its label.
