tax-logic-core
JavaScript library for US federal and state tax calculations, with IRS citations.
What it does
JavaScript library (npm) that takes a form object and returns US federal tax on 2025 brackets with the OBBBA changes, state tax for 50 states and DC, self-employment tax, capital gains, AMT and NIIT, plus optimisation strategies each with its IRC citation; a flag switches to pre-OBBBA rules. Informational only per the README, which asks the community to audit the maths; MIT.
Where it fits on the map
Not on the map: for individual taxpayers.
The map places maintained projects for a company tax department or a tax authority, without a demo or paid-service flag. Everything else stays on the list with its label.
