PolicyEngine Australia
Microsimulation model of Australia's tax and benefit system.
What it does
A microsimulation model of Australia's tax and benefit system: it calculates taxes and benefits for a household and the impact of reforms. It is a Python package (3.10 or later) on PolicyEngine Core, installed from source with pip or uv. The README says the model is under active development, capital gains tax and GST are not yet modelled, and to verify against official sources; AGPL-3.0.
