OpenFisca Canada (DTS)
Experiment using OpenFisca as a rules engine for Canadian legislation, a jumping-off point for further work.
What it does
An experiment that encodes pieces of Canadian legislation, regulation and government policy as rules for the OpenFisca calculation engine, which can then run calculations on a population, serve a web API or be modified. It needs Python 3 and pip, and the README recommends Docker to run it. The README covers installation only and names no licence; setup.py gives AGPL-3.0.
Licence unknown: we found no licence we could recognise. Check with the maintainers before you reuse the code.
Where it fits on the map
Not on the map: inactive.
The map places maintained projects for a company tax department or a tax authority, without a demo or paid-service flag. Everything else stays on the list with its label.
