OpenFisca Aotearoa
New Zealand's legislation, regulation and policy as OpenFisca rules-as-code.
What it does
Computational models of New Zealand's legislation, regulation and government policy, written as OpenFisca rules-as-code, run through the OpenFisca web API or Python. Needs Python 3.11; make install, make test and make serve set up, test and serve a local API, or use Docker. Started in a government lab in 2018, now continued by citizen-led initiatives; PyPI releases are paused; AGPL-3.0.
Where it fits on the map
Not on the map: inactive.
The map places maintained projects for a company tax department or a tax authority, without a demo or paid-service flag. Everything else stays on the list with its label.
