irs-taxpayer-mcp
MCP server with 44 local tools for US federal and state tax estimates, credits and planning.
What it does
Deterministic engine for US individual tax estimates and planning, as MCP server or command-line tool: federal tax with AMT, NIIT and credits, standard versus itemised, quarterly estimates and state comparisons for 2024 to 2026. Runs locally with Node.js 20, no IRS login; facts typed into a hosted MCP client may reach its model provider. State figures for a few states; not filing software; MIT.
Where it fits on the map
Not on the map: for individual taxpayers.
The map places maintained projects for a company tax department or a tax authority, without a demo or paid-service flag. Everything else stays on the list with its label.
