IRS Direct File
The IRS filing tool. Shut down for 2026, but its code, Fact Graph included, is public.
What it does
The code of the IRS's federal filing service: an interview that turns the tax code into plain questions, maps the answers to standard forms and sends them to the IRS Modernized e-File API, plus the Fact Graph, a Scala knowledge graph for partial returns. The repository is archived; the README says not to use it in production and that code with sensitive data was removed. Public domain (CC0).
Where it fits on the map
Not on the map: archived.
The map places maintained projects for a company tax department or a tax authority, without a demo or paid-service flag. Everything else stays on the list with its label.
